HTHC Hamburg Warriors Lacorsse is one of Germanys’ leading lacrosse program with both first teams just ended the season in the German Championship Finals (Men: 1st; Women: 2nd). The lacrosse women team is now looking for a Head Coach to lead the team to its fourth German Championship title after 2006, 2007 and 2008.

You will be coaching women of varying degrees of athletic and playing ability from international to beginners. We are looking for a motivated coach who is keen on expanding our program developing skills across all levels and to develop the club through the 2nd team and our youth program.

Details

  • Our club is one of the oldest clubs in Germany (https://www.hthc.de), hosting also a very successful men’s and youth program.
  • You will find that next to its athletic ambitions, this club has an engaging community with plenty of social events, tournaments etc.
  • Women’s 1st and 2nd Teams practice up to four times a week, each 2 hours long (option to coach only the 1st Team can be discussed). Leading up to the playoffs/championships practices increase.
  • It is the Head Coach responsibility to work to plan and execute practices, teach fundamentals to developing players, implement new offense/defense and improve overall performance. If interested, the applicant is always welcomed to assist the youth program.
  • In addition, it is expected that the Women Head Coach is working closely with the Lacrosse Program Director as well as Men and Youth Head Coach (both from the US and connected to the HTHC for many years) developing the club and promote lacrosse in the region of Hamburg.
  • Our women play in two Divisions. You would be expected to travel to game days on weekends as well as Playoffs and German Championchip (expenses paid).
  • This is a part-time job. We are happy to help find accommodations and supporting with employment opportunities and/or advise on study options in Hamburg.
  • Most competive compensation package in the German Lacrosse Community depending on your expierence plus accomodation at the club (can be discussed). Potential increase depending on your performance and the amount of work.

Requirements

  • We are looking for someone with experience in coaching women’s lacrosse (High School/ College/ advanced club teams), who is open to European (lacrosse) culture and elaborating short-, mid-, and long term concepts for the team.
  • The group you will be coaching is a mix of all experience levels and temperaments. At the core is the focus on player development, program expansion and discipline.
  • The applicant should be available as early as possible. Preferred are applicants interested to stay longer than one season (normally season end is June/July after the German championship)l
